Conor Harris is a doctoral student in the department. His interests center on the encounters and disencounters of the aesthetic and the political in cultural production of non-state actors in Argentina and Chile, and the generative and topological aspects therein. His particular focus is poetry and audio-visual (self-)representation in the latter half of the twentieth century and the beginnings of the twenty-first. He is a participant in the Abya Yala working group, regularly presents at professional conferences, and has been both secretary and president of the department’s graduate student association.
