I am a native of Jalisco, México. I specialize in 20th Century Latin American Literature, with particular interests in Mexican and Colombian fiction. My research interest is ecocriticism primarily reflections of attachment to place, environmental representation and environmental (in)justice. My analysis is informed on the groundwork of literary ecocritic Lawrence Buell’s The Environmental Imagination. Currently, I am doing ecocritical explorations to works written by Mexican authors, Agustín Yáñez and Homero Aridjis, and Colombian writers, Tomás Carrasquilla and Pablo Montoya.
